Cardiovascular Disease & Invasive Interventional Cardiology
John Chambers, M.D., FACC
Most Physicians choose their career to better patient lives. I chose Interventional Cardiology as it allowed me the ability to support patients in living a full, quality life. As an Interventional Cardiologist I support patients in need of a Permanent Pace Maker, AICD, and other High Energy devices, as well as, patients with Structural Heart needs with PFO Closure (Patent Foramen Ovale Closure), TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement), and ASD Closure (Atrial Septal Defect Closure).
I am one of the original founders of Idaho Heart Institute and came out of fellowship from the University of Nebraska, and quickly fell in love with the community, and the recreation East Idaho provides. My experience in the medical field started as a CNA, and later an EMT. Though it was a long process to become a Physician, it has been rewarding to be here in this community for so many years providing the high caliber cardiac care the region has become accustom to.
Over the last two decades, I am proud of our ability to establish and grow the cardiovascular services in the region. We are a group that values high-quality care with cutting edge services and equipment. Over the years, Idaho Heart Institute have been successful in recruiting and retaining well-trained physicians who are board certified in cardiovascular disease.
The health of my patients drives me each day, I strive to provide excellent service to them. As the community has grown and requested big city services, Idaho Heart has grown and met these needs rivaling the big city cardiac services within our community. We have responded to these needs by hiring talented Doctors, Providers and staff to provide excellent care to our community. We seek out individuals dedicated to patient’s health and who seek to provide a positive experience for each patient.
I focus on connecting with each of my patients through constant communication, educating about diagnoses, and treatment plans. I find great joy in caring for and forging long term relationships with patients and families.
I am married with 6 children. Our family loves to be in the outdoors. When able, we like to go boating, fishing, hiking, snow skiing, and other outdoor activities that East Idaho has to offer our family.
